Music for Lagomorphs
About
18 months ago, two tiny wee creatures silently smuggled their way into my home. I was resistant: what could these fancy squirrels bring to my life besides the torment of chewing up and peeing on my personal possessions? Ultimately, my questions didn't matter. The lagomorphs were here to stay, so I could either resist or embrace things.
Fast forward to today. My personal possessions have been chewed up and peed on indiscriminately. Life is spent picking fur off clothing, returning lone fecal pellets to litter trays and sweeping up scattered piles of hay.
It also involves binkies, flops, sphynxing, honking, zoomies, stamping, foraging, and complex grooming rituals. They're incredible, complex creatures and it's been a trip learning just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
So I decided to create some music. Each track is a theme, of sorts. Songs that I imagine either play in their heads or somewhere in the background while they're going about their important daily rabbit duties.
Here's to rabbits, the most wonderfully weird of creations.
